I can still remember the feeling I had staying in an empty room, while my imagination was going wild picturing all the designs in my head. Where to put the bed, how my office area will look, a white or black desk? How am I going to maximize the space? Where I’ll put the clothes?
You have to understand me, I grew up with Mr. Kate, watching all her DIY tutorials. While other girls were excited about make-up and hair styling, my heart was skipping a beat every time I learned how to create a new print, color walls and make a room as cozy as possible.

This is me, two years ago, my mom took a picture (a bit blurry :)) no worries, mom, I still love you!), while I was staying in my brother’s old room on a ladder. I just finished to paint it from blue to white. It was my first makeover of an entire room.
When it came to my office area, I wanted something simple, yet aesthetic to motivate me. So, the first thing I did was to buy different photo frames and to write some nice messages and print them. My idea was to change them often because I get bored easily so I didn’t want to invest a lot of money in some paintings.
Memories, memories…but this is my background. How it all started in my mind. Now coming back to present…
It’s been such a challenge the past months, but I think I finally got things figured out. Hooray! I got a full time job and opened my own company so I can perform my photography projects also.
It’s a blessing that I get to have a job that I really like and that I found a hobby that beside the fact that gives me the opportunity to experiment with my creative side, it gets me the money to invest more in equipment and in myself.
I strongly encourage you to try different activities until you will find something, that maybe in few years will not be just a hobby, but a job.
May I present you…
Even though I am a really sociable person and I love going out, most of the time I like spending it at home, being cozy, lighting candles, listening to music, reading about photography.
Home is where I feel more comfortable. Where I have my rituals, I can wear comfy clothes and have messy hair, I can watch Friends while drinking some wine, where chairs are not really a thing and laying a blanket on the floor seems always a better idea, where fluffy socks can be worn even if it’s not the season.
I would rather invite friends over and prepare a nice dinner with coloured desserts. I love hearing their funny stories especially from childhood. We were more free back then and brave enough to do some crazy things.
I think one year ago I discovered this word that basically sums up the things mentioned above.

Having a picnic in the park, going for a barbecue with friends, going for long walks can be considered hygge. Everything that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. That promotes living with intention.
You all know me by now, I guess. I love creating small corners to suit my personality, I like my office area with all my prints, being all cosy and inspiring, I enjoy photographing, especially creating flatlays and I find interesting and relaxing trying new recipes and arranging food on a plate.
Starting my own company was a huge step in my life, a dream that I had in years. And I couldn’t choose a better name than Hygge Mood Studio.
Back in March I created some prints for a friend who really enjoys coffee and fashion because she saw what I did for my office area in my mom’s house. From the prints we started talking about Instagram and I designed some highlight covers with the colors she used the most on her feed. I made her some presets for Lightroom mobile and I really enjoyed playing with shapes, text and textures.

One thing led to another…and one week later I opened my Etsy shop. Crazy, 🙂 I still can’t believe it!
I’ve been creating prints for my desk for two years already, always changing them in accordance to my mood or the things I liked most. I need to stay motivated and a simple table with a chair don’t help me much. I often take breaks and seeing motivational quotes or different patterns and pictures remind me why I even started.
Let’s take for example this picture…random found on google. Just a desk where you can work on your laptop. I love that it is positioned close to the window 🙂 Huh, that’s it. Otherwise, I’ll just take the laptop and go to a park to work :)).

And now…drums….whachu say about this? #Pinterest

So, my plan is to create all kind of prints that people can use to make their homes or their business location look amazing, without investing tons of money.
Also, I’ll be playing with some social media tools to help the businesses I’m working with to build their brand.
It’s going to be hard to have a full time job and starting a business from scratch. But you know what? I fuc**ng love it. It makes me wake up every day, happy to learn and do something new. It challenges me to become a better version and to help others.

I hope you will also be able to find one thing to be so passioned about!
