Hey Guys,
I have spent the last week at home, most of the time in my pajama, cooking, eating and watching new series on Netflix. #sorrynotsorry
We all know how it is when you’re watching a movie. You just need to snack on something. Maybe we can blame the cinemas for promoting the popcorn and juice along with the movie?
Anyway, I was trying to finish the first season of Riverdale one evening. We always think the last episode of a season will be LIT and the level of excitement is above the limits. Are you thinking the same?
So, I wanted a good snack to go along with the excitement. I gave up some months ago to run to the supermarket and buy treats. Instead I am preparing them at home. This way, I know exactly what I’m eating and back then, even how many calories I was eating, as I was counting calories when cutting.
In our house you can find all the time ripe bananas. We are crazy about banana bread and actually it strikes me now, I never posted a recipe for those delicious loafs. Shame on me!
I had to wait a lot to cook a banana bread, I wasn’t in the mood for nice cream(too cold nowadays) so I decided the winner to calm down my cravings will be muffins.
I was cooking some low calories mini muffins before, but they were a bit difficult to eat. Now, with #braceface I had to rethink the recipe and make them chewable. I never thought I will describe food like that, but damn it, living with braces it’s…complicated? Should I use this word? I don’t want to scare you, guys, those who want to get braces. Let’s just say it is needed to adapt some dishes to still enjoy them. Better 🙂
I mixed some ingredients (Breaking Bad feelings in a laboratory) and boom, in 30 min I had the best muffins made by me so far to enjoy the “grand finale” of the season.
Boy, Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe would be jealous for these muffins.
I cooked them over ten times already and everyone enjoyed them, including my vegan friends.
So, if you prepare them, pretty please tag me using #heartthatplategoodies on Instagram, so I can check and show you my appreciation 🙂
Love,
G.

Hi, I love your blog! ???? Just wondering as someone who is soon to be #braceface soon, what kind of braces you got and where in Birmingham you went? Xx
Hey! Thank you for your appreciation! I got the metallic ones(the classic braces). When you will go for your consultation, the doctor will give you more options of braces with different prices. As I have to keep them just for 6 months, it felt a waste of money to choose the Invisalign, as it was three times more expensive then the classic braces. I went to Midlands Smile Centre in Selly Oak. They have an amazing doctor and I felt really comfortable. I will write a new post with the experience and if you have more questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Also my e-mail : glammydiy@gmail.com
